Reverse Engineering is required where some or all Engineering Drawings are not in existence or where Production Drawings are not in existence that are required for the manufacturing build and test of a card or product.

The magnitude of the Reverse Engineering task can range from;

• obsolete component investigation

• modification of a card or complete product where technical files are not present

• duplication of a card or complete product where production files are not present

PCB’s have been re-traced to generate a circuit diagram, then reviewed for correctness and the can be modified to take advantage of latest technology and available components before re-committing to PCB layout and manufacturing drawings.

Complete Product Reverse Engineering has involved, in addition to pcb re-engineering, re-tracing of looms, panel parts and all components to re-build the product technical design information. This allows an understanding of the product and enables the requirements to be established before any element of re-design and re-producing all manufacturing drawings commences.
